Starting natural dreadlocks?

Well it sounds like your on the right track...always wash with residue free soap or a baking soda/water mix. You might have to wash more often since you said your hair gets oily because hair MUST be clean and free of any oil or grease to dread properly. Oil in the hair will cause the knots to slip out that are necessary for forming sweet dreads. Also, getting natural dreads is going to be a loooong process. You must be very patient and understand that your hair is going to look like complete sh*t for about a year!! But don't give up, because sooner or later you'll have some phat locks and everyone will be jealous!! I would recommend visiting dreadheadhq.com...they have a lot of info Happy dreading!
