At home lip piercing?

Okay, so if you're gonna give us the third degree about doing this at home, please leave. I mean, if you want to waste your time telling us how 'dangerous' this is/could be, then by all means, go ahead. Me and my friend are piercing our Monroe's and we're planning on using large safety pins. But we just want to know, if we buy a new pack, should we still sterilize them?
