Cosplay Help....again -_-;;?

Alright, I know you guys are probably tired of hearing me ask for Cosplay help, but hey I just want a pretty amazing cosplay. So anyway I've recently bought a four-foot long straight black wig for my cosplay. Well I haven't gotten the money for the styling supplies yet, so my wig has just been sitting on the wig stand. Well the other day I went to go work on the styling....and it was knotted really badly... -_-;; So my question is, does anyone know of a good way to untangle a really long wig. It's a really good wig, so I don't want to do anything to it that'll mess it up. Any help would be greatly appreciated! ^.^ Thanks
