PLEASE HELP ! how do i untangle a tank top?

Okay its sounds so weird but my cousin just give me some clothes she doesnt want and 1 item of clothing was a vest or tank top which is really nice and i want to wear it. its so frustrating because the straps which are thick enough and tangled like coiled round its hard to explain but i need to get it flattened out and untangeled how the hell do i start? sorry if this seems stupid im just really wanna no what to do thanks for any help like people who has come across this before please answer thanks again x
